Male infertility is associated with alterations in quantity, quality or morphology of sperm.1

Testing male fertility at home

This male fertility test enables a convenient and anonymous analysis of the sperm quantity in a semen which is an essential factor of male fertility.

Testing is straightforward. You only need to collect a sample of your semen.

Important:

  • You need to collect a semen sample between 2 to 7 days from the last ejaculation.
  • You should not use lubricants, lotions or condoms when obtaining a semen sample.

Testing procedure

  1. Ejaculate in the semen collection cup that you receive in the testing kit.
  2. With a syringe, transfer a small amount of semen into the bottle with a buffer.
  3. Apply the mixture to a testing device.
  4. Wait 7 minutes for the result.

Results of a male fertility test are a useful indication of a sperm count. According to the World Health Organization, fertile men have more than 20 million sperm per ml of semen.

Results are interpreted visually as positive, negative and invalid.

Positive result: there is more than 20 million sperm in a ml of your semen.

Negative result: there is less than 20 million sperm in a ml of your semen. You should consult your doctor to carry out a further examination.
